How long takes the Olympic Games?
From 5th – 21st August 2016
 Inaugural Cerimony will be hel
at Maracanã – North Zone Area
at Rio de Janeiro.

 Date: August 5th of 2016
 Time Schedule: Gates will be
opened at 04:30PM. The
Inaugural Cerimony must starts
at 08:00PM and finish at
23:00PM
 Prices: from R$200,00 to R$

 Transportation: Prefer Public
Transportation – Metro – Buses
and Train
 All competitions will be played in
four regions of Rio: Deodoro,
Barra, Copacabana and
Maracana.
 Football is the only sport that is
played in other cities besides
the capital of Rio.
 The matches will be played at
the Maracana and Engenhão;
the Mane Garrincha in Brasilia;
the Mineirao in Belo Horizonte;
the Fonte Nova in Salvador; in
Itaquerão in São Paulo and
Arena Amazonia in Manaus.
Opening Cerimony Additional
Information
• The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, will be held
on Friday, August 5th, 2016, at the Maracanã Stadium. The date marks the official
start of the event, but that's football tournament that two days earlier, on August
3rd, open competitions.
• The theme of the opening of the Olympics Games will be the formation of Brazilian
society and the party must gather 30,000 volunteers. According to Fernando
Meirelles, Daniela Thomas and Andrucha Waddginton responsible directors, the
idea is to transform the stadium into a big theater, as it will be used 14 km of
cables, 2,000 guns of light and 3000 kilograms of fireworks.
• To date, the Rio 2016 organizing committee has already confirmed shows of
singers Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Elza Soares and Anitta. The first part of the
ceremony will feature artistic performances with concerts and dances representing
the Brazilian culture and should last one hour.
• Then begins the parade of athletes and then there are speeches, in the field, the
President of the Organizing Committee, Carlos Arthur Nuzman, and the President
of the IOC (International Olympic Committee), Thomas Bach. Then the acting
president of Brazil, Michel Temer, the Games open states. The festival ends with
the torch relay and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.

From 5th – 21st August 2016  Inaugural Cerimony will be hel at Maracanã – North Zone Area at Rio de Janeiro.  VENUE INFORMATION  Date: August 5th of 2016  Time Schedule: Gates will be opened at 04:30PM. The Inaugural Cerimony must starts at 08:00PM and finish at 23:00PM  Prices: from R$200,00 to R$ 4.600,00  Transportation: Prefer Public Transportation – Metro – Buses and Train  All competitions will be played in four regions of Rio: Deodoro, Barra, Copacabana and Maracana.  Football is the only sport that is played in other cities besides the capital of Rio.  The matches will be played at the Maracana and Engenhão; the Mane Garrincha in Brasilia; the Mineirao in Belo Horizonte; the Fonte Nova in Salvador; in Itaquerão in São Paulo and Arena Amazonia in Manaus.
  • 4. Opening Cerimony Additional Information • The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, will be held on Friday, August 5th, 2016, at the Maracanã Stadium. The date marks the official start of the event, but that's football tournament that two days earlier, on August 3rd, open competitions. • The theme of the opening of the Olympics Games will be the formation of Brazilian society and the party must gather 30,000 volunteers. According to Fernando Meirelles, Daniela Thomas and Andrucha Waddginton responsible directors, the idea is to transform the stadium into a big theater, as it will be used 14 km of cables, 2,000 guns of light and 3000 kilograms of fireworks. • To date, the Rio 2016 organizing committee has already confirmed shows of singers Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Elza Soares and Anitta. The first part of the ceremony will feature artistic performances with concerts and dances representing the Brazilian culture and should last one hour. • Then begins the parade of athletes and then there are speeches, in the field, the President of the Organizing Committee, Carlos Arthur Nuzman, and the President of the IOC (International Olympic Committee), Thomas Bach. Mainly before leaving home.  Listen to CBN and BANDNews FM radios whenever possible because of security events that might affect the city and the Games.  Get information about the traffic on your route before leaving for the office and any event during the games  Keep aware and alert to the events in your surroundings  Evaluate carefully the news before going to Social Programs and Games Events where have great concentration of public.  Once participating or attending large public events concentration, be familiar with the emergency exits of which are.  Given the experience of a terrorist act, try to stay calm and find a safe place to go, assess the situation and move only under security conditions.  Always keep a communication process with your line manager and your immediate families members.
