The first prototype of a table was too heavy due to excess wood, which was solved by removing some wood. The table and chair were polished at angles on their surfaces to improve quality and ease of cleaning. Testing showed the redesigned products with less wood were lighter, could nest together for storage, and took less time to manufacture without requiring money for repairs.
