The first prototype of a table was too heavy due to excess wood. Reducing the amount of wood removed weight while maintaining structural integrity. Additional improvements included angling surfaces for easier cleaning and nesting the table and chair together for compact storage. Through refinements to design and production processes, the updated prototype was lighter, more functional, and less expensive to produce.
