This document discusses several solutions for brochures for the Town of Esopus Library Foundation. The final solution selected features an image of a bookshelf from the library including a well-known book. Another solution used a simplistic design with an old-fashioned wooden puzzle and books, which the client liked. The document also reflects on the skills learned in the graphic design class, including working with real clients to design printed brochures.

1. Mid-Way Solutions: This solution was modified to include other aspects of the library, such as where they came from (by use of the mural of the old library), and what they provide, access to computers and books and what they hope to accomplish in the future by way of a nature walk. 4. Final Thoughts Graphic Design built on the skills that were taught in Computer Art. The use of pen and paper were added this semester and research was encouraged again. InDeign was the main program that was used. This class focused on observations of what has already been done to establish an idea of what the industry’s standards are for different media. The final goal of this class was to apply everything that was learned to help a real client from create a printed brochure. I felt that the client was the motivated me more to create a solid brochure that gets their message across. I came up with several ideas, one made a huge transformation (Library book cover) while the other brochure (puzzle) was the first choice of the client when they saw the brochures for the first time. This puzzle brochure intrigued the client enough to offer to hire me as a graphic designer so they can utilize the design for another project. This class reassured me that I have an eye for designing and that others like the designs I create.
