The 2nd Annual McHenry Dementia Conference will be held on October 7, 2015 from 7:30am to 4:30pm at the McHenry Country Club. The $75 registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, materials, and 6 continuing education credits for nurses, social workers, and nursing home administrators. Dimensions Home Health Care is sponsoring the conference and up to 6 continuing education credits can be earned by attending sessions.

The Georgia Department of Human Services is hosting its 14th annual Healthy Communities Summit from June 6-8, 2012 at the University of Georgia. The summit will feature general sessions and workshops on topics related to healthy aging, living, and communities. Sessions will address issues like food security, transportation, nutrition, and business planning for aging networks. The three-day event is open to senior center managers, health care professionals, caregivers, and others involved in aging services. Registration is $187 per person before May 15th and $197 for professionals seeking continuing education credits.

Dave Reese from the Ohio Christmas Tree Association will present at the Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum on September 18th. The presentation will discuss how Christmas tree farms operate and their contribution to Ohio's economy. Christmas tree sales each holiday season generate over $2 million for Ohio. Growing an average Christmas tree to maturity takes 7 years, much longer than most foods which take 60-90 days to grow. The breakfast forum will provide information to farmers and agricultural supporters. It will be held at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation in Bowling Green, Ohio.
