A new Texas law allows first-time DWI offenders to apply for nondisclosure to seal their conviction from public view if they had a BAC of .14 or less, did not get into an accident, and did not hurt anyone. While the conviction would still be visible to law enforcement, sealing it could help with job searches. The law only hides the conviction and does not erase it, so a third DWI would still be charged as a felony.
