EXT. APPROACHING THE HOUSE - DAY

Mel turns around and looks at the camera
MEL
Hi.
CHRIS
This is us moving in to our new house together, a
big day for both of us!

INT. KITCHEN – EVENING

Mel is stood up handling food.
MEL
Do you feel strange about the house at all?
CHRIS
No why?
MEL
I don’t know, I just have a weird feeling.

2. CHRIS
It’s probably just the new house feeling.
INT. BEDROOM – MORNING

The couple have awoken in bed to see bags at
other side of room to where they had left them.
MEL
Chris did you move the bags?
CHRIS
No, why?
MEL
Well you must have because they’re at the other
side of the room now.
CHRIS
Relax. I must have, I just don’t remember.

INT. COMPUTER ROOM - AFTERNOON

What are you doing?
MEL
Researching the house. Did you know that a woman
died here?
CHRIS
Ooh scary... Maybe we’ll catch her on camera eh.

3. MEL
Don’t joke. It’s fact, well apparently anyway. I
believe in paranormal stuff you know. My grandma
was a medium.
CHRIS
Oh right. I’m sorry.
INT. DINNER TABLE – EVENING

CHRIS
What happened here again?
MEL
There was a suicide. A woman. I think that’s the
reason we can afford to live here.
CHRIS
That’s horrific.
MEL
Some people think that the Lady still roams here,
but that’s just an urban myth.
Light turns off, and back on.
MEL & CHRIS
-Both react frightened.-
CHRIS
I’m sure there’s no need to worry. Electricity
fails sometimes, it’s not perfect!
MEL
Yeah sure… You’re right.
Both Mel and Chris leave the kitchen.

4. Several things subtly move by themselves. (Doors,
drawers, cutlery, lights etc.)
INT. ATTIC - EVENING

Mel is moving boxes into the attic on her own.
MEL
OH MY GOD! Chris, Chris! There’s somebody or
something in the attic! Chris go up there!
CHRIS
Mel that’s impossible, I’m sure there isn’t!
MEL
I’m sure there is Chris, just go up there please.
Chris climbs ladder.
CHRIS
Mel, there’s no one, or no thing here either.
MEL
Are you sure? I swear I saw something!
CHRIS
Yes. Everything is fine.
MEL
Oh okay, sorry. My mind must be playing tricks on
me.
CHRIS
There is a box here though. It’s got newspapers
from around fifty years ago in it. And some
photographs. Mel get up here now. Is this the
woman who committed suicide here?
MEL
I think it is…

5. INT. COMPUTER ROOM – EVENING
CHRIS
I’ve done some research on the woman that died
here. It turns out that she was called Evelyn
Wilson, Lady Evelyn Wilson in fact, the same name
found on those newspapers and photos.
Coincidence?
MEL
Chris stop it, I don’t want to know anything
else. I didn’t sleep at all last night.
CHRIS
I’m not trying to scare you Mel.
MEL
Well you are, so just stop it.
CHRIS
Sorry. But this isn’t something we can run away
from, this was a real person.
MEL
I know, I know…
CHRIS
First thing tomorrow I’m going to set some
cameras up all around the house recording, just
in case anything happens.
INT. GENERALLY ROUND THE HOUSE – AFTERNOON
Shots taken from amateur camera, set up on
tripod.
Both Chris and Mel are out, but have left cameras
running around the house to hopefully capture
some activity.
Whispers are faintly heard, then get louder.

6. A silhouette quickly moves in front of the
camera.
A shadow is seen on a wall.
Chris comes home from work and the shadow
suddenly vanishes.
INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Chris and Mel are both asleep in bed.
Whispers are heard again, and yet again get
louder.
A shadow is seen on the bedroom wall.
The bed covers lift up high, but Chris and Mel
don’t wake up.
The bed covers suddenly drop down, and the shadow
disappears.
INT. COMPUTER ROOM – MORNING
CHRIS
Oh my god Mel, there was someone, or something
here.
MEL
I’m scared, petrified.
CHRIS
When Lady Evelyn Wilson died, I don’t think she
left this house, I don’t think she’s resting in
peace either.
Flashes shown of attic with trunk clearly visible

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Mel and Chris are both asleep in bed.
Sound of pans moving in the kitchen is heard.
The couple don’t wake up.
Pans crash on the floor creating very loud sound.

7. The couple wake straight up in shock.
MEL
Oh my God Chris. She’s here right now isn’t she?!
CHRIS
I don’t know Mel. I’ll go and have a look, you
stay here.
MEL
Chris, please don’t. I don’t want to live here
anymore, I need to leave, we need to leave.
CHRIS
Where would we go? Besides, we need to check
downstairs out!
Demonic screaming is heard.
Chris opens bedroom door.
CHRIS
GO! AWAY! You are NOT welcome here!
Chris shuts bedroom door.
All paranormal activity ceases for a few seconds.
Bedroom door flies open by itself with relentless
force.
CUT TO BLACK.
