The sound of countryside, birds tweeting, wind rushing through tress.
EXT. WOODS - EARLY MORNING
The ambient sounds of birds chirping due continue
a winter dead branch hangs lifelessly
A young man 17 years old wearing a school uniform with trousers and
blazer leans against a tree. This is LIAM.
Next to him is a shovel. Liam a dark haired carefully looks at his watch.

Liam grabs the shovel, he pierces the ground with the blade of the
shovel. He is vigorously attacking the soil with all force.
Liam starts to get tired and drowsy, he wipes some sweat of his face to
then go back to the tree to lean on thinking he'll finish the job after
his break.
LIAM
(wipes sweat of forehead, to then walk of to lean on the tree due to
tiredness)
As he takes a break there will be use of cross cutting as someone will be
walking through the woods with their dog, to then see him and spot him,
Along with cross cutting, there will be a series of CU's MCU'S, possibly
long shots, pans and whip pans. The climax of the opening happens when
the person walking by see's what Liam is doing (burying the body). The
dog starts barking at Liam which then provokes the person to look at Liam
and then they both have a tense moment of making eye contact, with a CU
of both of their expressions, the person starts running the opposite
direction with their dog and we are left with Liams facial expression
which then go to an invisible cut.
INT. HOME- DAY
A J-cut will be used with Liams face with the same expression from the
previous scene. Without seeing Liams mum, she says:
LIAMS MUM
Honey..., are you ok?
INT. SCHOOL - DAY
There is another invisible cut, along with a J-Cut with the sound of
school bells, the same facial expression is used as one of Liams friends
ask:
LIAMS FRIEND
Liam? U sure you're good man?
Screen goes to black with the title BROKEN.
