We will be traveling around Scotland in 2015, visiting several historic places. Some locations we will see include Pitlochry, known for its rivers and lakes for water sports, and Inverary Castle, originally founded in the 14th century. We will also visit Bramere Castle, built in the Middle Ages, and see the Forth Road Bridge spanning the River Forth between Edinburgh and Berwick Upon Tweed.

Welcome to my new presentation about our trip to
Piclocthery, Edinburgh, Balmoral and Inverary.
I will be travelling with my godmother Laura and
Maisy to see the many historical and beautiful sights of
Scotland. This presentation will show some of the
places we will visit in 2015.
We hope you enjoy this presentation & learn some intresting
facts about the history of Scotland.
3. Pitlochry
Pitlochry is a historical urban town in Scotland, the River Tumble
and Loch Falkness are the two main sources of water for many
water sports such as kayaking, canoening and sailing.
The town has many shops, cafes and 3 churches for people to
visit. Pitlochery was first mentioned in the Victorian’s times
after Prince Albert & Queen Victoria stayed here in 1840.
4. Pitlochry’s River & Lake
Loch Fulkness: The Loch is 1 of the main sources of water in
Pitlochery, this allows people to sail, canoe or kayake happily on
the lake. Visitors are also allowed to walk and take photographs
near to the lake.
River Tummel: The River Tummel is the main source of water
that runs through the city of Pitlochry. The river comes from the
nearest cities of Perth to join the fishing ladder at Pitlochry. After
it’s journey at Pitlochry, the river goes to it’s ocean near to the
Irish Sea.
5. Inverary Castle
Inverary Castle is a modern historical home near to Pictlochry
and Inverary. The castle was first founded in the 14th century
near to Loch Fyne in the town of Inverary.
The modern castle today was built during the Victorian’s time
as Inverary became old and misery. William Vanburgh
designed some new rooms for the castle before dying in the
late 19th century.
Today, the castle is a historical attraction in Inverary Scotland. It is
opened to the public daily.
6. Bramere Castle
Bramere Castle is ner to the historical village of Bramere
in Arbdenshire Scotland. The castle was built during the
middle ages as this castle was one of the strongholds of
Scotland.
Today the castle has gardens, shop and a visitors centre
opened to the public for them to look around the
historical castle of Braemere.
7. Forth Road Bridge
The Forth Road Bridge is a unique suspension bridge
over the River Forth between Edinburgh and Berwick
Upon Tweed. The bridge is also linked to a rail bridge for
trains to cross over the River Forth.
Today, people can walk their dogs or have a picnic near
the river. You can drive your cars down near to the
bridge and take your camera to take some majestic
pictures of the river and bridge.
8. Royal Britannia
Royal Britannia was a famous ship that was used during the Spanish
Wars in 1588 for Queen Elizabeth I and Sir Francis
Drake. After the famous sinking, Britannia was saved
and taken to It’s docks in Edinburgh for the public to see
her remarkable ship and exhibition and museum about
it’s historical battles and wars.
9. Edinburgh Castle
Edinburgh has a majestic and excellent castle sat on a high
rock overlooking the vast historical and charming town
of Edinburgh. Today’s castle was built during the Middle
Ages to support the town of Edinburgh and the welfare
of Scotland.
Today the castle is used as one of Scotland’s historical
attractions and used for the Military Tatoo on August
Bank Holiday every year.
