Describe transparent, translucent or
opaque materials.
- Identify the materials that can
transmit, absorb or block light.

it strikes.
It can be transmitted,
absorbed or blocked.

allows light to pass
through.
*It transmits light easily.
Ex.clear glass, clear
plastic

absorbs and scatters
light.
*It transmits a little light
and absorbs it. Objects on
the opposite sides appear
blurred.

10. Examples of translucent
materials are frosted glass,
tinted plastics

*Light is reflected and
blocked.

13. Examples of opaque
materials are wood,
metal, aluminum foil
stone and other
materials that block
light.
