This document summarizes a student group project for a social psychology class to design an interpersonal relationship space called GEN-Y. It is a beach cafe and lounge located in Malacca, Malaysia meant for the new generation to socialize without social media. The 1000 square meter space includes an indoor balcony, side lounge, and music stage designed to encourage interaction based on attractiveness, beliefs, interests, and attitudes. The goal of the project is to help people develop closer interpersonal relationships and improve attitudes without prejudice through socializing.

2. INTRODUCTION
The space that we created is called GEN-Y. It is located in Melaka. The reason why it is called
GEN-Y is because this place is for people in new generation to spend time with one another
without using social media. The design concept of this beach café @ lounge is spatially strategic
and the architecture is kept simply linear form to play secondary role to the environment.
