The most famous Elizabethan playhouse was the Globe Theatre, built in 1599. It was located on the Southbank of the Thames in London, near the original site. The Globe was a circular, open-air structure approximately 100 feet in diameter made of timber, plaster, and thatch or tile roof. It had a raised stage projecting into the yard, surrounded by three tiers of galleries.

Daniel DeFoe was an English writer, journalist, and pamphleteer born in the 17th century in London. He is best known as the author of Robinson Crusoe, considered one of the first novels in English. DeFoe had a varied career and wrote over 500 books, pamphlets, and journals on diverse topics from politics to the supernatural. Despite his success as a writer, he struggled financially and was imprisoned multiple times for his political writings. He died in 1731 in London buried in Bunhill Fields.

In the medieval period, London was attacked by invading forces and established as the capital of Norman England after the conquest of 1066. In the 19th century, London was transformed into the largest and most influential city in the world as Britain's population and empire expanded globally.

It is located along Wilshire Boulevard, which was donated to the city in 1895 by Henry Gaylord Wilshire and named after him. Sugar
By the early 1900s, the number of sugar and syrup factories in Iberville Parish, Louisiana had declined significantly from 160 prior to the Civil War to only 8 by 1944. Over the following decades, most of these remaining factories closed as well. By 1998, only the Cora Texas sugar refinery was still operating as the sole surviving sugar refinery in the parish. The document includes historical photographs showing the various aspects of sugar cane plantation and refining operations from the late 19th/early 20th centuries.
