1) A group therapy session takes place in a therapist's room with several incarcerated women. 2) The session becomes chaotic as the women argue disrespectfully with each other and the therapist about their criminal histories and lack of respect. 3) By the end of the session, two of the women storm out angrily as the therapist holds his head, exhausted by the unproductive and argumentative nature of the meeting.

Moorland to arrive. Moorland walks in the room and
sits down. He takes a deep breath and begins to
speak.]
Moorland: hello ladies, who wants to start us off
today? Is there anything anyone wants to share?
Andy:I had toast for breakfast, with jam on top,
yummy....
Moorland: thank you Andy but that's not quite what I
meant. Last session we were talking about respect.
Andy:(towards audience) so it’s about respect this
week!
Whitney: yes I loved that session!
Andy: oh Whitney, can you stop flirting with Mr
Moorland and stop talking about respect.
(Sarcastically) we can always see it when we’re in
our cells, (to audience) especially between Carla and
Nicole.
Nicole:oi, if you gotta say something just say it out
loud, init!
Carla: I’m getting bored, can we just carry on-
Moorland: yes thank you! So we were talking about
respect. How to get it, what it means and how we feel
about it. Has anyone had any thoughts?
Nicole:(aggressive tone) yeah. We don't have it and
it’s never going to happen-
Carla:(towards audience) I swear I just said I’m
getting bored so why is he carrying on this respect
thing?
Sasha: (to audience) you don’t want to see her when
she gets mad.
Moorland: -and why is that?
Carla: cause we're nothing but criminals now. -
(looking at nail tips not actually interested)
Whitney: I’m not a criminal!
Nicole: oh just shut up!
Moorland: -that’s not true; you’ve all got a second
chance!
Carla:oh really? You think anyone is going to give
me, (pointing at herself) me a chance when i get out

Cash: I did!
Nicole: yea, after you bloody nicked his wallet.
Carla: shut up you idiot.
Nichole: how about you shut up first.
Carla: do you want a punch in the face.
Sasha: (to Nicole) back off or well get you!
Tasha: just watch!
[Nicole can’t be bothered to start and sits down
kissing her teeth.]
Moorland: ladies, ladies! Keep it together. Look, I
know you're angry but fighting each other is not
going to help! Respect is the key... (To audience) no
let’s not start all that again.
Carla: why the heck am I even in here?
Nicole: shut up you knows why you’re in here!
Sasha: you can’t talk to her like that!
Nicole: I am, do you have a problem with that?
Carla:I do init!
Moorland: alright ladies cut it out, god I need to
get a vacation. Look, that's the end of the session
today but maybe next week we can talk about writing a
letter to the governor about conditions? We can try
to make a positive change.
Carla:whatever
Nicole: get lost Carla!

directions. Others follow. Mr Moorland holds his head

Okazuje się, że do sprawnego funkcjonowania w otaczającej nas rzeczywistości już nie wystarczy odpowiednia ilość informacji (w myśl zasady: im więcej, tym lepiej), ale ważne jest przede wszystkim nauczenie się selektywnego odbioru napływających do nas treści, posiadanie odpowiednich narzędzi i filtrów, za pomocą których będziemy mogli lepiej radzić sobie ze zbyt dużą ilością danych, które do nas docierają.

In 1930s-40s USA, thousands of murals decorated buildings through New Deal programs, allowing isolated artists to participate publicly by painting competitions for post offices and other properties.

En kunnen we die elementen ook in het onderwijs toepassen?
Games worden nu al in het onderwijs gebruikt om beter aan te sluiten bij de studenten van nu. Maar met alleen het gebruiken van games in de klas zijn we er nog niet. Een nieuw medium in een oud systeem is niet de oplossing. Ook het systeem zelf moet aangepast worden. Docenten hebben hierin een cruciale rol.
In deze lezing behandel ik die elementen van games die zo motiverend zijn. Wat zijn die elementen en zijn die ook in het onderwijs van nu toepasbaar? Hoe kunnen we zorgen, door goed te kijken naar games, dat onderwijs diezelfde aantrekkingskracht krijgt.

Andy:I had toast for breakfast, with jam on top, yummy.... Moorland: thank you Andy but that's not quite what I meant. Last session we were talking about respect. Andy:(towards audience) so it’s about respect this week! Whitney: yes I loved that session! Andy: oh Whitney, can you stop flirting with Mr Moorland and stop talking about respect. (Sarcastically) we can always see it when we’re in our cells, (to audience) especially between Carla and Nicole. Nicole:oi, if you gotta say something just say it out loud, init! Carla: I’m getting bored, can we just carry on- Moorland: yes thank you! So we were talking about respect. How to get it, what it means and how we feel about it. Has anyone had any thoughts? Nicole:(aggressive tone) yeah. We don't have it and it’s never going to happen- Carla:(towards audience) I swear I just said I’m getting bored so why is he carrying on this respect thing? Sasha: (to audience) you don’t want to see her when she gets mad. Moorland: -and why is that? Carla: cause we're nothing but criminals now. - (looking at nail tips not actually interested) Whitney: I’m not a criminal! Nicole: oh just shut up! Moorland: -that’s not true; you’ve all got a second chance! Carla:oh really? You think anyone is going to give me, (pointing at herself) me a chance when i get out of here? You're dreaming man!
- 2. Andy :( looking confused)(to audience) now it’s about dreaming? Moorland: you have to earn a second chance. Start by learning respect, you know what they say; respect is the key to success. Cash: yeah well somebody stole the key. Whitney: considering your history, are you sure it wasn't you? Cash: are you accusing me of nicking stuff? Nicole: (laugh out loud) I swear that’s why you're in here? Cash: mistaken identity. Dahh Whitney: tell it to the judge. Cash: I did! Nicole: yea, after you bloody nicked his wallet. Carla: shut up you idiot. Nichole: how about you shut up first. Carla: do you want a punch in the face. Sasha: (to Nicole) back off or well get you! Tasha: just watch! [Nicole can’t be bothered to start and sits down kissing her teeth.] Moorland: ladies, ladies! Keep it together. Look, I know you're angry but fighting each other is not going to help! Respect is the key... (To audience) no let’s not start all that again. Carla: why the heck am I even in here? Nicole: shut up you knows why you’re in here! Sasha: you can’t talk to her like that! Nicole: I am, do you have a problem with that? Carla:I do init! Moorland: alright ladies cut it out, god I need to get a vacation. Look, that's the end of the session today but maybe next week we can talk about writing a letter to the governor about conditions? We can try to make a positive change.
