Magadh-Amrapali Area
Magadh-Amrapali Area is the newly formed area of Central
Coalfields Limited. The area has been formed in October 2012.
There are Four Projects falling under this area:
 Magadh
 Amrapali
 Sanghamitra
 Chandragupta
The Land Acquisition of Amrapali Project has been done under
Sec 9 (1) of CBA Act. The details of the acquisition are as under:

240.66 Ha 245.97 Ha 812.71 Ha 1299.34 Ha
As per the initial approved Project Report of Amrapali Project,
the CCL Board approved the Project Report for 12 MTY.
Now a revised Project Report has been approved in which it is
projected with a capacity of 25 MTY (Normative).
The mining operation at Amrapali Project has started since 7th of
February 2015.
The Coal production has begun since 24th of October 2015.
The Land Acquisition of Magadh Project has been done under
Sec 9 (1) of CBA Act. The details of the acquisition are as under:

756.35 Ha 540.07 Ha 391.12 Ha 1687.54 Ha
As per the initial approved Project Report of Magadh Project,
the CCL Board approved the Project Report for 20 MTY.
Now a revised Project Report has been approved in which it is
projected with a capacity of 51 MTY (Normative) to 70 MTY
(Peak). Henceforth it will become one of the largest Coal Mine
in Asia.
The mining operation at Magadh Project has started since 7th of
February 2015.
The Coal production has begun since 24th of October 2015.
Coal dispatch is also undergoing.
The Land Acquisition for Sanghamitra and Chandragupta is
under process.
As per the initial approved Project Report of Sanghamitra
Project, the CCL Board approved the Project Report for 27 MTY
whereas for Chandragupta the CCL Board has approved the
Project Report for 25 MTY.

Monsoon Preparation for the Year 2016
 Mine Dewatering will be done by the contractor
(Outsourcing).
 Existing Garland Drains are to be cleaned wherever
necessary.
 New Garland Drains of around 02 km are to be prepared in
each Project.
 One Dozer, one Grader & one small capacity Backhoe are
needed for each Project.
 Two numbers of 15 HP (Diesel Operated) pumps are
required for each Project for dewatering of small pocket
deposit of water.

 Out of 96.72 Ha of released Forest Land at Magadh OCP,
only 19.20 Ha Notified Forest will be handed over by DFO
(South) Chatra after Pillaring.
Infrastructure:
 Construction of 100 Mts. PCC Road at Tandwa.
 Construction of Earthen Moorum Road at Gulitand.
 Construction of PCC Road at Binglat Village.
 Construction of Boundary Wall at Binglat Primary School.
 Construction of Hume Pipe Culverts at Honhe,
Kumurangkala and Kumurangkhurd villages.
Drinking Water:
 Construction of Well at Honhe, Binglat, Pokla,
Kumurangkala, Garilaung, Kundi, Saradu, Devalgada,
Masilaung, Arra, Chamatu and Fulbasia Villages.
 Construction of Deep Borewell at Kamta, Kumurangkala,
Kumurangkhurd, Honhe, Tandwa and Saradu villages.
 Distribution of RO Drinking Water to all house-holds
falling under Amrapali Project.
Skill Development/Social Empowerment:
 Skill training to 90 youths from Magadh-Amrapali Project
in Electrician and Welder trade.
 ITI- 8 youths from Magadh-Amrapali Project have been
selected for 2 year ITI Programme.
 Mining Sirdar- 6 youths from Magadh-Amrapali Area have
been selected for 3 years Mining Sirdar Programme.
Environment:
 Construction of Check Dam at Kumurangkala, Soparan,
Koed and Arra.
 Construction of Ponds at Pokla, Honhe and Fulbasia
villages.
 Installation of Solar Street Lights for different villages of
Magadh-Amrapali Area.
Sports and Culture:
 Football kit has been distributed to 12 Village teams of
Magadh and Amrapali Projects.
Education:
 203 numbers of Desk, Benches has been distributed in 13
Schools falling under Magadh & Amrapali Area.
 7 Children from socially weaker sections of Magadh-
Amrapali Project has been adopted for education.
Health Care:
 Health Care Camps are organized in a routine manner at
villages falling under Magadh-Amrapali Area.
 8393 Patients from the villages falling under Magadh-
Amrapali Area were examined in 2014-16 and free
medicines were distributed among them.
 Health Care Camps at Kundi, Saradu, Kumrangkala,
Kumrangkhurd, Ursu, Honhe, Masilaung, Binglat and Arra
were organized.
 Dispensary has been established at Honhe Village.
