Animals used for their fur, whether farm-raised or wild-caught, endure tremendous suffering and cruel deaths. Fur farm animals spend their lives in cramped, filthy cages before being killed using inhumane methods like suffocation, electrocution, or poisoning. Over half of fur products in the U.S. come from China, where dogs and cats are bludgeoned, hanged, or skinned alive for their fur, which is sometimes deliberately mislabeled.
