Vasilati is a commune located in southern Romania in Calarasi County. It has been inhabited since the Neolithic period, as archaeological artifacts from that era have been found on archaeological sites in the area. The commune is situated on fertile land near water resources and forests. It is composed of four villages - Vasilati, Prosanic, Popesti, and Walnuts. The main occupation of inhabitants is agriculture, with the commune having 6669 hectares of land, most of which is leased.
