SYSTEM
> That’s what was needed! How
fasten the shaped mesh panel
without through screws or
threaded inserts? How to achieve
the easiest assembly of guards
by one operator by avoiding the
use of linear, angular or three-way
uprights? A brilliant intuition of
Satech’s technical department has
solved the problem.
MDF
> The MDF protective system has 2 different
panel-posts connections:
Unlosable screws: which includes bracket,screws,nuts
& assembly spring, all extremely robust.
Unlosable clip: with a little pressure you can have a
rapid & stable fixture of the panel without having to
work behind the posts.
It also comes with 3 assembly tools so that the
construction of the perimeter is made even easier
& faster.

VISIBILITY AND PROTECTION
AGAINST CLIMBING
> The particular design of Satech mesh allows to achieve compliance
with current regulations as well as providing great visibility of the
protected plants. It’s really important for operators to have no visual
hindrances during the inspection of production processes (EN 953-5.2.4,
5.10, 5.12). The external vertical wires create the optimal hindrance
against climbing (EN 953-7.1), while the dimension of meshes allows the
installation at only 120 mm. from the dangerous area (EN ISO 13857).

Reaching through regular openings
Dimensions in millimetres
> Table 4 gives sr for regular
openings for persons of 14 years
of age and above. The dimension
of the opening, e, corresponds to
the side of a square opening, the
diameter of a round opening and
the narrowest dimension of a slot
opening. For openings > 120mm,
safety distances in accordance
with 4.2.2 shall be used.

> In general, safety distances
should be determined using
Tables 1 to 6 for the upper limbs.
Where it is not foreseeable that
the upper limbs can have acces to
the opening then it is permissible
to use the values given in Table 7
to determine safety distances for
the lower limbs. The dimension,
e, of openings corresponds to
the side of a square opening,
the diameter of a round opening
or the narrowest dimension of a
slot opening. The values given
in Table 7 are independent of
whether clothing or footwear is
being worn and are applicable
for the persons of 14 years af age
and above. For reaching through
openings of irregular shape, see
4.2.4.3.
sr
a) If the lenght to the slot opening is ≤75mm, the distance can be reduced to ≥50mm.
b) The value corresponds to leg (toe tip to knee).
c) The value corresponds to leg (toe tip to crotch).
Note: Slot openings with e>180mm and square or round openings with e>240mm will allow acces for the whole body (see also Clause 1, final paragraph).
