In the standard SAP translation environment, there are three translation statuses available:
Translated (‘green’)
This category represents strings which have a translation in the target language field and a similar entry in the Proposal Pool
Modified (‘yellow’)
This category represents two subcategories:
Strings where a translation in the target language field exits, without a corresponding Proposal Pool entry
Strings where a translation in the target language field exits, and no Proposal Pool entry is available at all
Untranslated (‘red’)
This category represents strings whithout any translation in the target language field
The statistics shows in addition how many proposals are available

• What the standard statistics lack
The categories of the standard statistics have the following gaps:
No differentiation within the yellow lines: for scoping and resource planning, it is essential to know
why a line is yellow: because it was really modified at the source side or because it simply does not have
a corresponding proposal pool entry. Yellow lines with different proposal pool entries are potentially
real modifications with translation already available; yellow lines without any proposal pool entries have
to be checked and possibly translated one by one manually.
No information about how many corresponding proposals are available for red lines: for scoping and
resource planning, it is essential to know the number of untranslated lines for which proposal pool
entries are already available.
No information about internal repetitions: for scoping and resource planning, it is essential to know
the number of internal repetitions. As an example, if you have 1000 untranslated lines but all of these
lines have the same source text, it have to be translated only once, and can be copied 999 times. If you
have 1000 untranslated lines and each of them are different, you have to enter 1000 individual
translations.
No information about the content: for scoping and resource planning, it is essential to know the
content. You can get an answer to the following important questions: are these lines related to
Financials or related to Logistics? Are these lines real translations or just copied source texts into the
target language field? What is the quality of the already available translations?

-Proposed deadline: sets the requested deadline for the translation (if sent to the Customer Support System)

-Reference language: languages included as reference (e.g. DE->PL, EN as reference)
-use best PP checkboxes: set if available proposals should be included as translation for untranslated and modified lines
