Flanders Fire Co#1 & Rescue Squad 2012 Santa Runs S ince the 1960s, firefighters and emergency medical services providers of the Flanders Fire Company #1 & Rescue Squad have been Santa’s officials escort when he comes to Mount Olive in the days before Christmas. He rides around town greeting children of all ages, handing out candy canes and listening to last minute wishes. Three years ago, Santa began collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots , making an extra trip to town by train and escorted by uniformed Marines and other helpers. We’re proud to continue the tradition. Here are some photos from this year’s visits by Santa. And to quote Santa, using Clement Moore’s words: A happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
