Who is Sandy
Wilder?!
Here's a little photo slide show to give
you a better idea about who I am and
what I enjoy doing in this beautiful world
Rock Climbing
My favorite activity is rock
climbing. I love the adventure,
adrenaline rush, body
movement, and ability to get up
to beautiful heights. Here are
some pictures of me climbing in
various places. (This one is in
Canyonlands in Utah.)
Me climbing in the Sequoias of California with a friend
Devil's Tower in Wyoming ... ouchy!
Jugging up the Nose of El Capitan in Yosemite
Up 2500 feet on El Capitan
Black Canyon in Gunnison, CO
Sleeping on the wall in Zion, Utah
guess what the orange bag is for :)
My Husband Matt
I married my best friend Matt, who's
a data scientist (artificial intelligence
research). He's also a professional
rock climber and has been in many
climbing magazines and
movies. His other claims to fame
are that he can solve the Rubik's
cube in less than 30 seconds and
he made it to the Vegas finals of
American Ninja Warrior 2014.
Sunrise wedding on Bald Mountain
Green's my favorite color!
Matt on Team USA in World Cup Teva Games
Matt bouldering in the Sierras of California
American Ninja Warrior - my husband #DrClimb in the Denver Finals

The “Wolf Pack” - climber Ninjas (my husband is on far left). Watch
the Wolf Pack in Vegas finals this year! Our friends did REALLY well!
Bayes Benjamin Wilder
We had a baby in May 2011! His name is Bayes, and he loves to
explore and drool.
Summer 2011 climbing trip to California
Packing gear and getting strong in a gym.
Will he enjoy climbing too?
Bayes enjoys climbing and doing Ninja obstacles
Summer 2012 trip to Peru - Machu Picchu, old Incan city
Hiking in the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca above 14,000 ft.
Visiting the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey, 2013
Sailing to Ancient Ruins in the Turkish Isles
Bayes loves skiing and hiking 14ers too!
Near death experience
I was rock climbing in Thailand in December 2004 when the Indian
Ocean tsunami hit, killing over 230,000 people in fourteen countries,
with waves up to 98 ft. high. It's one of the deadliest natural disasters
in recorded history.
This was
wave #12 we
saw (milder
than wave
#1) from the
snorkling
boat we were
on.
Our beach as seen from up on a climbing route
repelling off a climb
I hope this momma and baby monkey survived!
Life Lesson Learned After Tsunami
I believe that life is really short and that there's no time to be wasted
having a bad attitude or living in monotony. I awake each morning
and greet it with a smile, telling myself that it's the only August 1,
2012 (or whatever), that I'll ever get to experience ... so why not
make it an INCREDIBLE one. If I'm in a bad mood, I quickly change
my outlook on life to a positive one so that I can have fun and enjoy
my day rather than wallow in poop (figuratively speaking of course). I
try to make meaningful connections with people, realizing that there's
something good in everyone, and I can learn from them and enrich
my life in some way through my interactions with them. I strive to
have lots and lots of fun in my activities ... even just chilling out and
relaxing. The world is so beautiful and there are so many amazing
experiences out there to be had, so I get busy having them!
Dancing!
We like to have fun
by dressing up in
funny costumes and
dancing with our
friends!
Green and Blue! Dancing fun!
Roller disco super hero theme! Fun!
Mountain biking is fun too!!!
Slack lining is fun!
Running is fun too!!!
Enjoy the beauty and fun life has to offer!
