Abstract
ABSTRACT
 Blood Bank Management System is a browser based system that is designed to store,
process, retrieve and analyze information concerned with the administrative and
inventory management within a blood bank.
 This project aims at maintaining all the information pertaining to blood donors,
different blood groups available in each blood bank and help them manage in a better
way.
 Aim is to provide transparency in this field, make the process of obtaining blood from a
blood bank hassle free and corruption free and make the system of blood bank
management effective.
 There is no storage of blood so no complications in the project. The software is fully
integrated with CRM (customer relationship management) as well as CMS (content
management system) solution. It is developed in a manner that is easily manageable,
time saving and relieving one from manual works.
INTRODUCTION
Introduction
 The project blood bank management system is known to be a pilot project
that is designed for the blood bank to gather blood from various sources and
distribute it to the needy people who have high requirements for it.
 The software is designed to handle the daily transactions of the blood bank
and search the details when required.
 It also helps to register the details of donors, blood collection details as well
as blood issued reports.
 The software application is designed in such a manner that it can suit the
needs of all the blood bank requirements in the course of future.
Research Objective
Research objective
 Helps Blood Banks to find blood donor and depository online.
 Encourages blood donors to donate.
 Helps people find blood donors in times of need.
 Blood management system is a 24*7 system provides services to
hospitals and users.
 Maintains information about the blood donor.
Problem Definition
Problem Definition
 Scarcity of rare blood group.
 Unavailability of blood during emergency.
 Less awareness among people about blood donation and blood transfusion.
 Deaths due to lack of blood during operations.
 The Blood Bank Management System project aims to make all the procedures
automated and therefore with computer system it can be more fast and
accurate.
 This project is a high quality software to manage all these cumbersome jobs.
Scope of the Project
Scope of the Project
 The system is used for maintaining all the process and activities of
blood bank management system.
 The system can be extended to be used for maintaining records of
hospital, organ donation and other similar sectors. While developing
the system, there shall be space for further modification.
 There shall be a proper documentation so that further enhancement
becomes easy.
 As a whole the system is focused to work with blood bank
management system and on additional modification it can be also used
as management systems of similar organizations.
Research Work
Proposed Methodologies
 The blood management information system offers functionality to quick
access to donor records collected from various parts of the country.
 It enables monitoring of the results and performance of the blood
donation activity such that relevant and measurable objectives of the
organization can be checked.
 It provides to management timely, confidential and secure medical reports
that facilitates planning and decision making and hence improved medical
service delivery.
 The reports generated by the system give answers to most of the
challenges management faces as far as blood donor records are concerned.
System Architecture
Comparison of Proposed system with an existed system
 Proposed system Allows online search and request for blood reservation when
compared to manual reservation in the existed system.
 The existing system is time consuming , the proposed system is time saving.
 The proposed system details and data of donor and acceptor are accurate unlike
the existing system.
 The proposed system is more effective when compared to existing system.
 Donor and acceptor information will be stored in hospital books and files but in
the proposed system everything will be stored in database.
 Proposed system Allows online search and request for blood reservation when
compared to manual reservation in the existed system.
Result Analysis
 Our project has reached the goals which we expected it to reach.
 Our project is designed for gathering blood from various sources and
distribute it to the needy people.
 It is time saving and very efficient way of blood donation.
 Any person who is ready to donate blood to the needy or acceptor, should
register for blood donation and the nearby acceptor can be able to utilise
that by finding the same blood group donors.
Conclusion
 So it will be reduced time consuming for users. It is fully easy system
using web application “Blood Donor Recruitment”.
 Earlier systems are fully maintained manually by records. But now users
can view availability for anywhere anytime through this website.
 The proposed System can be used to reduce the time required to deliver
required blood to needy in cases of emergency.
 This application provides a way of communication and synchronization
between the hospital and the blood banks.
Future work
 In Future work, This application to develop a cross platforms like
IOS, etc.
 In adding the more features of blood management system to develop
access with user’s flexibility.
 To authenticate the users based on the system users list which is
maintained by the operating system
 To restrict the usage of all files by the users based on their privileges
on the system
