With my lowest score being an extrovert and my highest score in openness to experience, I believe these are good qualities to have so you can influence an organization. RE: Faculty Recommendation
Dear Scholarship Committee,
I have had the distinct pleasure of facilitating two undergraduate courses at Western
International University in which Samuel Landry has actively participated as a student.
Those courses are MGT 340 Organization Theory and Behavior and MGT 352 Political,
Legal, and Ethical Issues in Business. When Samuel asked if I would mind writing a
recommendation for him, he eagerly pointed out that he made an ‘A’ in both of those
courses. What Samuel did not know at the time of his inquiry is that he not only made an
‘A’ in both of those courses, but also he made the highest score in the class for both
courses. That is a notable achievement. I like to push students to excel in their studies.
Without fail, Samuel has met the challenge. His written and verbal presentations are
excellent, his responses to discussion questions are thought-provoking, and his work is
always submitted in a timely fashion. He is a deserving student who has presented his
best to me as a faculty member of Western International University. It is with this
information fully in mind that I offer this recommendation to Samuel without hesitation.
If you have any questions concerning his application for scholarship, please feel free to
contact me at (505) 670-6405.
Sincerely yours,
Rob Koonce
WIU Professor

Attention: Scholarship Committee:
Re: Samuel Landry
Sam took my BEH 304 (7129) Ethics & Values in May, 2011. He had the top grade in
the class. There are a few things that I remember about Sam. He was in attendance at all
classes, participated regularly and always had strong analytical comments to make. But
most of all, he wrote one of the most sophisticated papers that I have seen at West. It was
extremely detailed and analytical and contained critical thinking beyond the level that I
expect to see, even in a very challenging class such as Ethics.
Sam also has a strong work history and is very motivated to make it through school to
help himself and his family. I think he is a good candidate for this award and I believe
that his GPA and classroom history backs this up.
Please contact me if you have any questions.

Hello Mr. Wakayama
COLOR EDITOR
I have given much consideration to your reply and respectfully disagree with the rate
for the Color Editor position.
This position is extremely important to maintaining the High Quality of images CAPS has
consistently delivered to Kawasaki.
In addition to managing all images produced in studio, this person will also be
responsible for the final product our Studio creates.
The skills required to be Color Editor are NOT entry level, but rather EXPERT level, and
require a deep understanding of color, light, and Photo Shop skills that come from
years of computer experience. This experience makes the candidate time efficient and
will save the company money.
I hope you will reconsider the salary on this position. I would like to offer this position to
Doro Duran OR Sam Landry.
Color Editor, $25 per hour.
My Recommendation.
Re-hire Sam as a Seasonal Contract Color Editor, $25 per hour.
Hire Doro as Seasonal Contract Photo/Digital Assistant, $20 per hour.
Photo/Digital Assistant supports Studio as 1st priority and Color as 2nd priority.
CAPS maintains maximum efficiency with time and money using experienced and
skillful staff during peak season, and saving money during off-seaon.
Respectfully,
Ray
