2. As a college freshman in 1992, earning my political science degree from New York
University, I was pulled into the race for trustee of the East Rockaway School District
Board of Education after I saw the district I had just graduated from deteriorate rapidly.
Soon my degree was put to work in real-world situations when in May of 1993 I won
the election.

3. After completing my program cum laude from NYU, I took a job as the
Administrative Assistant to the Town of Hempstead’s Attorney’s office. Here, I
made sure the attorneys were fully prepared to address the council and conduct
official business, particularly in the area of real estate development in this
burgeoning municipality, which is the largest in the country. Introducing my
office to computers by bringing my own in, I computerized all forms, research and
correspondences for the first time.

4. During this time, I continued to serve on the local school board and ultimately elected
president by my colleagues. Serving as spokesperson, I led the fiscal responsibility
charge to manage the district’s $20 million annual budget. In the middle of all of this
activity, I earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, suma cum laude, and
my state certification. Pursuing my dream of national public service to the
community became my priority.

5. My successful election as the youngest school board president in the history of New
York State caught the eye of many prominent state and national political leaders. After
the terrorist attacks of September 11th on New York City, I was tapped to take a position
as an appointee of the President of the United States.

6. When I left my job with the Town of Hempstead in June 2002, I secured a position in
the New York Foreign Press Office of the U.S. Department of State. In that endeavor, I
was responsible for both proactive story pitches to media and reacting to the day’s
news events with timely and targeted messages. I collaborated with more than 1,600
international news agencies, as well as hundreds of domestic news agencies. My
proudest moment was when I was asked by the White House to be their point person
for all media outlets, embassies and consulates around the world for the first
anniversary of 9/11.

7. In addition to my full-time job with the Department of State, I was detailed to the
White House Office of Presidential Advance to plan, execute and evaluate various
public and private events involving the First Family. My duties involved coordinating
with the national and international press corps, high-ranking political and diplomatic
parties, local government officials, White House Communications, U.S. Military and
Secret Service. Among my assignments was the lead for media and facilities planning
for the G8 Summit in Sea Island, GA. It was an enormous undertaking that gave me an
opportunity to gain experience in branding and honed my skills of multi-tasking, high-
level coordination and stakeholder cooperation that I still use to this day.

8. At the conclusion of the Administration in January 2009, I remained in the New York
City area to become Chief of Staff/Senior Executive Assistant at King Street Capital
Management, L.P. In this position, I served as an executive team member supporting
the Co-Founder and Managing Member of a privately held, global financial
management investment fund with assets in excess of $20-billion and offices in
London, Singapore, Tokyo, New York and Virginia. Before I left to take a more
challenging opportunity, I was able to leave my mark on the office that no one before
me was able to accomplish. Namely, to create a complete operations manual on how to
help my boss’ life run more effectively. It was a challenge given to me when I started,
and one that gave me satisfaction to complete.

9. In 2010, AECOM, the world’s largest publicly traded architecture and engineering firm,
reached out to me with a position as the Chief of Staff to the Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer. It was an employment opportunity with a Fortune 300 company that
I could not refuse and I left King Street. Here, I was able to call on all of my
experiences from my time serving on the school board dealing with dozens of small,
local interest groups, to my time with the White House and Department of State
collaborating with multi-cultural groups. Pulling from those experiences, I was able to
build consensus with the CEO and all stakeholders to draft a strategic plan to run the
executive office. Issues ranged from HR to operations.
9
10. During my nearly five years in this position, I put into place protocols for saving
money, spearheaded and implemented an operations and safety plan for the executive
floor and alongside the Chairman, revamped our Government Relations program.
My travels took me to such locations as Hong Kong and Australia where I worked
alongside our overseas offices. Even though I enjoyed this responsibility, the company
and the people, the Chairman and CEO decided to retire, and the new leadership
brought in their own team.

11. Since leaving AECOM earlier this year, I have been consulting on various special
projects with my former AECOM boss, John M. Dionisio. Those projects are winding
down, and I am now looking for a permanent assignment in an operations capacity as a
chief of staff, senior-level executive assistant or office manager in a company that has
international business interests. Thriving in complex environments while confidently
navigating organizational cultures and personalities, I am able to balance direct
leadership with consensus-building to help drive towards business goals. I am excited
to take on my next challenge.
