It is important for them to accept the hazards and it associated risk, plan the risk mitigation process and execute on time. Amalan kerja selamat yang berikut digunakan untuk semua alat yang digunakan:
Semua alat hendaklah digunakan sepertimana ia direka bentuk dan dipilih untuk kegunaan yang betul
Semua alat hendaklah digunakan oleh kakitangan terlatih
Bekerja hanya di lokasi yang diterangi dengan baik.
Alat mudah alih atau pengganti dilarang.
Mengelakkan alat-alat jatuh dari tempat kerja di kawasan berjalan / bekerja.
Semua peralatan mempunyai pergerakan harus di pasang dengan penghadang.
Bahan kerja di bangku atau meja harus di ikat untuk memastikan tidak bergerak.
Gunakan alat tangan yang tidak mencetuskan kebakaran di kawasan yang berpotensi terbakar.
7. Alatan yang boleh menyebabkan percikan tidak boleh digunakan dikawasan mudah terbakar
kecuali di rekabentuk untuk kawasan sedemikian.
Apabila menggunakan gergaji, pisau, atau alatan tajam , hendaklah mengarahkan alatan
bertentangan dari pekerja lain yang bekerja berdekatan.
Pisau dan gunting mestilah tajam.
Bilah gergaji retak mestilah ditukar.
Perlindungan mata, perlindungan kepala, perlindungan pendengaran, sarung tangan dan kasut
keselamatan diperlukan semasa operasi alat tangan.
Peralatan yang rosak ataupun tidak berfungsi seperti yang dikehendaki perlu di keluarkan.
