I want to be part of your organization and to contribute to the development of business entirely with my experiences,
skills and knowledge in science.
Profile:
I am a very dynamic person, responsible, cooperative, and good at teamwork, good communicator, easy going, self-
starter, punctual and ethic. I would like to share my knowledge in your organization.
Education:
B.S Biology
Universidad Del Este
School of Science and Technology
Carolina, Puerto Rico 00983
Escuela Superior Casiano Cepeda
High School Diploma
Rio Grande, Puerto Rico 00745
Work Experience:
2014 – 2015 Quality Control at AML AMGEN in Microbial Identification (MICRO ID) – Work in the area of Micro
ID has given me many tools:
Follow procedure
Seminar in Microbiology
Knowledge in the area of MICROID
Teamwork
Safety
I have knowledge and execution of the following techniques:
Received samples
Gram Techniques
Rapid Method Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization – Time of Flight (MALDI-TOF) mass
spectrometry.
Process the Biological Indicators (BI’s)
I have worked with the MALDI TOF test to identify the final ID of the sample. I received samples a perform grams
stain and processed the biological indicators.
2010 – 2014 Undergraduate Research in Minority Biomedical Research Support – Research Initiative for Scientific
Enhancement (URGREAT-MBRS-RISE Program) NIH funded program. This program has given me over the years
as many tools. I have assisted in many seminars and workshops, which include many diverse topics such as: GRE
2. studies, English language advancement, investigation opportunities, power point, excel. Security and health in the
laboratories, Real Time PCR, analysis of scientific papers, effect of different exposures on the brain, cognitive behavior
and many more. The first investigator I worked with was Dr. Ana T. Mendez-Merced in 2010, we were working on an
animal model for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
c-Fos Up-Regulation Differences between the C57BL/6 N and J Mice Substrain in the mPFC Brain Region
that is Related to Emotional Perseveration. 2013.
Genetic Bases of Differences Related to Emotional Perseveration In Mouse Substrains. 2011.
Determination of Anxiety Differences Between C57BL/6 N and J Mice Using the Elevated – Plus Maze and
Light/ Dark Transition Paradigms to Investigate Fear Extinction Learning Disparity. 2011
Microarray Studies to Address Behavioral Differences Associated to the Extinction of Conditioned Tone Fear
Between J and N Mice Substrains. 2011
Study on cAMP Responsive Element Binding Protein (CREB) Expression Differences Between c57BL/6 N
and J Mice Substrains in Hippocampus. 2010
The second investigator I worked with was Dr. Aixa Alfonso University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013, we were working
with the hlh-3 is a gene.
hlh-3 is a gene with roles in both males and hermaphrodites: How is this gene regulated?
I have knowledge and execution of the following techniques: brain extraction and perfusion, tone fear conditioning
paradigm, Analysis of single and double immunohistochemistry, brain sections, vibratome, the elevated - plus maze and
light / dark transition paradigms, microarray, polymerase chain reaction and real-time polymerase chain reaction.
