Objectives and Contents 
Objectives of the 
Course Unit 
The goal of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding 
of macroeconomics. The students learn what is nation’s total output, how 
national economies work, efficiency of different economic policies to 
correct economic problems such as inflation and unemployment. 
Contents of the 
Course Unit 
The course covers the basic concepts on measuring a nation’s income, 
measuring the cost of living, real economy and growth and 
unemployment, monetary system and inflation, open economy and short-run 
trade-offs.

The students learn what is nation’s total output, how national economies work, efficiency of different economic policies to correct economic problems such as inflation and unemployment. Contents of the Course Unit The course covers the basic concepts on measuring a nation’s income, measuring the cost of living, real economy and growth and unemployment, monetary system and inflation, open economy and short-run trade-offs.
