RTO/ERO uses cost of living increases to set insurance premiums, with a 4% increase for extended health care and 2.5% for dental in 2016. Members can join RTO/ERO insurance while traveling abroad and the insurance will become effective when they return home. Members have until February 29, 2016 to switch from RTIP/ARM to RTO/ERO insurance without a medical examination. While RTO/ERO membership requires paying dues and insurance, the value extends beyond access to group insurance with various member advantages and advocacy. RTO/ERO insurance may seem more expensive than other plans initially but provides better overall value and coverage for a low daily cost.
