• Macau is one of the two Special Administrative Region
of the People Republic of China.
• Macau was used to be the colony of Portugal.
• It was returned to the People’s Republic of China in 1999.
• Macau has the second highest life expectancy in the
world.
• Since the liberalization of the gaming industry in 1962,
Macau’s economy is heavily dependent on gambling
and tourism, and becoming a world leisure and
recreation hub.

• The objectives of the FDCT is to correspond with the
aims of technology strategy in the Macau.

and project development.

There are six thrusters mounted
on the ROV:
Vertical Thrusters x2
Horizontal Thrusters x4
So that it can implement 360°
movements and panning.
Also there are two manipulators
added on the ROV, one placed on the
upper-right and the other place on
the lower-left to let the ROV master
any kinds of missions.

four cameras on the ROV. Two
cameras in the front, and other
two observing the environment
around the ROV.
Since the mission of the
competition requires us to check
the temperature under the water,
we add a temperature sensor to
detect the temperature.

• For the electrical part, the
system is separated into two
parts, the main ROV’s core and
the onboard control system.
• In order to let the signal can
transport quickly and stably
between the two system, we use
a optic-fiber to connect the two
of them.
• For the programming part, we
use Arduino as our
programming software.
• We also use PS2 gamepad as
the controller.
