I am writing in support of Sandor Foldvari a very talented
young philobgist from Hungary. ~nowing practicaly. several
languages Slavic, Baltic and Finno-Ugric, and Estonian and
Lithuanian in particular, he is involved in studying problems
of the macrostructure of culture. His diploma thesis devoted
to essential problems of the well-known Sub-Carpatian scholar,
clergy and wTiter Mihaylo Lutskay is a contribution to modern
Slavic linguistics, culture and theology.
Great is the interest of Sandor Foldvari to the problems of the
Baltics, and Lithuania and Estonian in particular. His articles
published in different magazines, journals and newspapers of
Hungary ar giving us ~vivid picture of the life, language, culture
and struggle of the Baltic peoples for their independence.
I recommend Sandor Foldvari to receive the scholarship in the
field of Baltic studies he applied for. (' ..- d7
