Ronaldo is a one-off documentary that contains loose
narrative around the football industry, but mainly
focuses on Ronaldo’s life and journey to what he has
become now.

The purpose of Ronaldo’s documentary is to inform and to
educate people on what steps he took to get to where he is
now and how he took those steps. Additionally the
documentary is also to inspire young adults and teens that
have an interest in football and want to follow in his footsteps.

6. Techniques
In the documentary there are interviews with Ronaldo, Ronaldo’s
family members and other well-known footballers. Close ups are
used in each interview to emphasise facial expressions, however
throughout the whole documentary the interviewer is not shown at
any point. An observational technique is used throughout the whole
documentary, as the interviewer/person behind the camera follows
Ronaldo around to observe what he does on a daily basis.
Additionally the camera tends to shake a bit, which indicates that it
is handheld.
