Robyn Adams is a Syracuse University junior majoring in Industrial and Interaction Design with a minor in ceramics. This portfolio showcases her work from the past three years, which includes group and individual projects as well as ceramics pieces. The portfolio contains projects such as redesigning Vibram Five Fingers shoes, designing a biodegradable plant planter called the Bio-Sphere, and creating a 3D printed marble run part in Solid Works. Adams' work demonstrates her passion for design, new ideas, and creativity.

My name is Robyn Adams and I am a current Syracuse University junior. I am
an Industrial and Interaction Design major with a minor in ceramics. I am a hard
working, self driven, dedicated person with a passion for new ideas, design
and having fun. This portfolio shows the work that I put my heart and soul
into from the last three years. There are a variety of projects but each project
shows a piece of who I am.

Green House Gardening Made Easy

The Bio-Sphere is a biodegradable green house
planter. It is designed to make growing plants
fun and interesting.
Includes:
- The biodegradable planter embedded with a
natural plant food
- A clear detachable green house top
- Potting soil
- Plant seeds
How it Works:
After the plant becomes too big in the bio-
sphere the user can detach the top and bury the
bottom outside with the plant.

28. Objective:
Update an existing shoe. The main goal of this update is to improve the fit
and function of the footwear from a human based perspective.

does not keep
ankle warm or keep
debris out.
Even when loosening the
strap, the top section is
still too tight which cre-
ates a struggle to put on
the shoe.
The rubber toe guards are
excessive and bulky when
stretching your foot or running.
Color choice: Not many
young adults like the style
of the shoe because of
how “strange” and “weird”
the colors are.

The bottom section of rubber is
excessive for everyday running. It is hot
and not as flexible as the bare foot.

38. Material Selection:
The minimalistic Vibram sole gives the user the barefoot experience while
still keeping their feet warm with the inner wool lining. Since they are built for
warmth they are perfect fall or winter shoes. Unlike the previous Vibram Five
Fingers, the color scheme is simple so that they can be worn in any occasion
and not draw too much attention.

Solid works

41. Objective:
Experiment with creating a marble run part that is based on three intersecting
geometric shapes. Experiment with adding and subtracting shapes and
exploring positive and negative space. After the shapes are formed play with
materials and find an exciting composition.
