What I Have Achieved Architecture PROBLEM – Fixed Mobile Convergence too big to solve in one go ACTION – Split into short term need to arrest decline of fixed revenue and longer term objective of converged service offering RESULT – Enabled technical approach of implementing a throwaway solution to address immediate needs without compromising the  architecture required for the longer term needs
What I Have Achieved Presentation & Influencing PROBLEM – No new sales for 2 years ACTION – Changed focus from product  brochureware  to business  solutions built upon the product capabilities RESULT – Multiple major sales in the post dot com era
What I Have Achieved Solution Delivery PROBLEM – Virgin deal sold – now had to deliver ACTION – Moved from pre-sales team into the role of  on-site coordinator in the implementation team RESULT – Continuity of solution vision from cradle to grave
What I Have Achieved Architecture PROBLEM – Two completely separate IT estates with unacceptably high  opex, stability issues and a roadblock to delivering business change ACTION – Derived roadmap using a combination of business motivation  modelling and the TM Forum Applications Map RESULT – A roadmap that allows BAU business change to continue  whilst executing evolutionary rationalisation to reduce opex and lay the foundations for addressing strategic business needs
What I Have Achieved Presentation & Influencing PROBLEM – Indonesian Operator unwilling to commit to purchase of  new billing system due to lack of reference site with comparable volumes ACTION – Led a Proof of Concept that demonstrated that the  proposed billing platform would be able to meet their needs RESULT – Contract awarded
What I Have Achieved Solution Delivery PROBLEM – Multiple projects pulling vendor from pillar to post ACTION – Established Intec Competency Centre and became  the single point of contact and coordination between  business change projects and billing system vendor RESULT – Stable delivery pipeline with agreed priorities  and a forum for escalation and resolution of issues
What I Have Achieved Architecture PROBLEM – Lack of effective governance ACTION – Re-invigorated the Architecture Review Board and actively represented the Architecture function at the Idea Assessment Group RESULT – A portfolio of prioritised projects with validated business  cases that were all conformant with the architectural vision
What I Have Achieved Presentation & Influencing PROBLEM – Existing trading solution limited and expensive ACTION – Convinced User Group to invest in the development  of a new PC based solution using latest Windows operating system RESULT – New low cost solution with a full colour GUI that could  be deployed to each trader’s desktop
What I Have Achieved Solution Delivery PROBLEM – Collections agents using multiple systems for outbound calls ACTION – Designed and implemented a front end work queue application RESULT – Efficiency of outbound calling improved dramatically resulting in reduction in headcount and improvement in bad debt levels
