2019 Oregon Wine Symposium | Know Your Visitors: Find and Attract Quality Win...Oregon Wine Board
Statewide research conducted in 2018 by the University of Oregon and Destination Analysts aimed to answer these questions: Who is Oregon’s wine tourist? What do they want from their time in our wine regions? How can wineries best suit their needs? This session shares findings from that research to prompt a spirited discussion about strategies for attracting quality visitation to your tasting room, from promoting your business to maximizing the potential of partnerships with like-minded organizations and ultimately closing the sale.

2. The Rise School of Dallas is a non profit preschool
for children with Down syndrome, other learning
disabilities and for those without.
3. The mission of the Rise School is to provide the highest
quality education and therapy services to preschool children
with developmental disabilities such as Down syndrome
within the context of a developmentally appropriate
curriculum; to provide family centered services designed to
meet the needs of all children and families; and to prepare
children for their next learning environment.
4. Rise School: Classrooms
The Rise School of Dallas currently has 6 classrooms with
children aging from 6 months old to 6 years old.
With our inclusive learning environment, Rise boasts a
uniqueness that is not found anywhere else in Dallas. Our
children learn together. Our inclusion model allows children
with delays to model after their typically developing peers
while enabling children without disabilities to develop
compassion and understanding for others.
Together, everyone learns from masters’ level teachers through
a 3:1 student teacher ratio. Each child receives an individual
education, providing them with the necessary tools for success
in mainstream kindergarten and beyond.
5. Rise School : Therapies
• Speech Therapy
• Physical Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Music Therapy
Therapies are provided to all children that attend The Rise
School of Dallas 43 weeks of the year. We provide therapy
services through a group-based therapy model in which the
typically developing peers can demonstrate expected tasks
for their delayed peers. Through our motor programs,
carried out by both the PT and OT, we desire for our
children to make major gains in their developmental
milestones by improving their strength, balance,
coordination and sensory processing. We also provide
education for both parents and teachers through direct
instruction and parent/teacher handouts in order to carry
over our program throughout the school day and beyond.
Our goal is to educate and train all those directly involved
in the child’s daily care.
13. The Touchdown Club is a non profit group of
elite men in Dallas whose sole responsibility to
raise awareness and funds to support the Rise
School of Dallas.
Not only do they help coordinate events, the
Touchdown Club of Dallas comes to read every
week in 4 out of the 6 classrooms.
This provides our club members an opportunity
to build relationships and bond with our
children directly!
The Rise School of Dallas would not be able to
provide all services and educational materials
without the support of the Touchdown Club and
the charity events held each year!
