Pegmatite Hosted Lithium Deposits in Africa and Exploration Considerations - ...Michael Cronwright
A review of the global lithium industry and review of pegmatite hosted lithium deposits in Africa. A look at some of the exploration methods and considerations is also provided. This is by no means a thorough look but provides some useful context to the state of play of the lithium exploration scene in Africa. There are still potentially undiscovered LCT pegmatites within the known pegmatite provinces and some provinces yet to be discovered.

Ridgestone Mining is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on its wholly owned, high-grade Rebeico gold-copper project located in Sonora, Mexico.
Cypress Development Corp. is focused on developing the Company's 100%-owned Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada, USA. Exploration and development by Cypress has discovered a world-class resource of lithium-bearing claystone adjacent to the Albemarle Silver Peak mine, North America's only lithium brine operation. The size of the resource makes the Clayton Valley Project a premier source that has the potential to impact the supply of lithium for the fast-growing global energy storage battery market.

Saville Resources: Making Niobium Great AgainStephan Bogner
In light of Trudeau and Trump shaking hands as the U.S. seeks Canada‘s aid to break China‘s dominance on rare earths and other critically deemed commodities, Commerce Resources Corp. has started to shine* bright like a diamond. On the other side of the fence, the overlooked diamond in the rough is clearly Saville Resources Inc. as today‘s news shows in a brilliant fashion. (*Actually, diamonds don‘t “shine“ by themselves, but reflect, refract and disperse light in a glorious display.)
The share price of Commerce Resources Corp. has more than doubled from its low in the last 2 months amid rare earth elements (REE) making headlines globally. However, the share price of its joint venture partner for an adjacent property, Saville Resources Inc., has remained flat, yet deserves a fresh look as the company is making significant progress ahead of its plans for an aggressive exploration program.

Oroco has a 100% interest in the Cerro Prieto project, a polymetallic (Au-Ag-Pb-Zn) project in Sonora State, Mexico. During the first field season in 2008 the company drilled 5,975 metres of core and tabled its first NI 43-101 compliant resource calculation for the property (See January 27, 2009 news release).
With over 40 years of industry experience, Ken Thorsen, president and CEO of Oroco Resource Corp is quickly steering the company forward with the current development of a preliminary mine plan by an independent geology and mine engineering services firm, and a phase two exploration program exploration planned for 2009.
Puma Exploration (PUM:TSX-V / PUXPF:OTCBB) is a Canadian mineral exploration company with advanced precious and base metals projects in Canada. The Company's major assets are the Nicholas-Denys Silver Project and Turgeon Copper Project in New Brunswick and the Little Stull Lake Gold Project in Manitoba. Puma is focusing its exploration efforts in New Brunswick, Canada, which has been ranked the best place in the world to conduct mining exploration by the 2012 Fraser Institute Survey.

Exploration and Mining Trends in the Digital Age: Global Outlook and Issues i...Tim Alch
At CESCO Week in Santiago, Chile I spoke about the world’s need to explore for and mine copper and the importance of knowing early-on how to operate locally to manage risks. While optimistic, over the life of mining any resource, there are many variables and issues owners need to be mindful of including managing many different and often changing expectations. In the case of copper, it is core to the world being connected on smartphones, Facebook, internet, etc., Without copper, it is fair to say we cannot be connected as we all are and expect to be. While copper does have unique properties and the business differs from other commodities, other minerals share similar outlooks as more of the world’s ~7.2 billion people near term are projected to live in urban areas, enjoy higher standards of living and consume more materials.
