Rimi Nique is a young, multilingual singer from Thailand with Indian heritage. She can sing in six languages and rose to fame on the singing competition The Voice Thailand. She has had a successful music career in Thailand, performing at major festivals and concerts. Rimi aims to bring her diverse cultural background to a global audience as an international artist.

Rimi is a young multi-cultural, multi-lingual artist recently known for her
appearance on Yo Yo Honey Singh's India's RawStar on Starplus performing hit songs
from 'Party on my mind ' 'Paree hoon main' 'Chahu Main Ya Naa' to all time favorites
like ' Mayya Mayya' etc . Her musical adventures are all over social media.
Prior to this Rimi was on the Voice Thailand Season 2 performing Lady
Marmalade and surprising the country with a 4-chair turner from all The Voice coaches,
and choosing to be in the famous Thai rapper's Team Joey Boey.

Rimi has appeared in the well-known Thai-Indian magazine "Masala" June
edition with a 4 page front cover story (picture below), in Bangkok Post, Pattaya Mail,
and The Nation for various events/shows and online blogs in Thailand aswell as US.
She has been the guest artist interviewed at various universities, was the opening act at
‘Overlove Music Festival’ at Silverlake, Pattaya to a huge line up of Thai popstars (Ben
Chalatit, Two Popetorn,Mild, Blackhead, Peet Peera, ETC and many more) peforming
for a crowd of up to 10k. Rimi has won various competitions including Indaba Music
Production Competition from the US for her song ‘Cold Outside’, has performed in
reputable charity events such as Paul Ewing’s (who wrote the song ‘Love Eternally’ for
His Majesty The King of Thailand) 'Light of Hope’ charity concert for World Visions UK,
and was appointed to be the assistant choir director and a special guest performer at
‘The Color Of One’ charity concert for Baan Than Namchai orphanage, sponsored by
the US Embassy of Thailand and many more. Rimi also appeared on the famous Thai
Woody Talkshow with the Color Of One ensemble and US ambassador to Thailand,
Kristie Kenney.

3. She has performed at the popular Hard Rock Cafe and Silverlake Songkran
Music Festival, both in Pattaya. She's performed at the 27th Phuket King’s Cup Regetta
with Paul Ewing and accompanied by the UK Soul Ensemble, who have worked with top
musicians who have played/toured for George Michaels, Shaka Khan, Rihanna, Corinne
Baley Rae and many more. She recently recorded a famous cover song with Thai
popstar Mike D. Angelo, which was released on Valentines Day. Rimi continues to go
on tours/concerts with The Voice Thailand crew and regularly performs at high profile
parties and private events, in Thailand and overseas. She collaborates with Djs and
artist groups such as PHA (Paris House Addict) and more. Rimi doesn't only cater to the
Thai market but is an international artist-her diverse background allows her to sing in
multiple languages: English, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, and Thai. She has also done
voiceover recordings singing for Samsung Galaxy S4 commercial in Thailand,
Mitsubishi Thailand, voiceover for iphone/android car game app, for an environmental
education video by the The Ministry Of Science, Thailand and many more. These are
just a few things Rimi has achieved only in the past year of 2013-2014. She is
constantly writing and working on new music, which will be part of her album/EP to be
launched very soon, with interviews awaited by top media publications such as Thailand
Tatler, Bangkok Post, India's NDTV channel and more. Rimi has worked with world
class producers, co-writing and recording some of her songs at world class Karma
Sound Studios in Pattaya, Thailand and many more.

4. Prior to her year in Asia, Rimi formed a band with her college friend Adriel, called
‘Dabbles In Bloom’, along with 2 other members - produced an album and an EP. She
managed to work as an artist while studying Economics/Environmental Studies, Music
minor in Washington State. The band performed at various concerts and shows around
Washington State and toured in the Northwest after the release of their ‘ Found It’
album. Rimi has been in prestigious choirs/acapella groups (performing for the Princess
of Thailand, huge private events etc), recording and performing throughout her school
and college years and continues choir directing - teaching/fostering young singers and
talent.

She’s come a long way since her 6 year old self, being born into a Thai-Indian
family , singing shabads (hymns) and indian songs with family and friends; performing in
Gurdwara (temple) and growing from that to several other genre and styles that defines
her now. She has a certificate in semi-classical raag training to enhance her kirtan
singing during her younger years. Rimi plays the harmonium and guitar to accompany
her singing. She connects to India through bollywood movies, bollywood soundtracks
and her regular visits to family in Punjab. She connects to the western world and culture
through all her life adventures and experiences. Rimi will keep connecting to places she
has spends her years growing up in -using her different cultural backgrounds to her
advantage and it's reflected in the music she co-writes and co-produces today.
