4. INTRODUCTION
The author has stated the novel is based on the “rampant corruption”
apparent in the Indian youth educational system.
The book follows the story of two friends separated by their passions
yet connected by their love for the same girl.
The book is the tale of two very intelligent boys who wants to shake
the world in different ways.
One wanted to use his intelligence to make money. One wanted to
use his intelligence to create a revolution the problem was they were
loving the same girl.

Prologue
1st meeting
Gopal’s family problems
Joins tuition classes, with different aims.
Gopal wants Aarti to become his but she refuses.
Gopal fails in both IIT-JEE and AIEEE while Raghav
passes with good rank.

6. CHAPTER 6-10
Gopal goes to Kota because of his father’s decision.
Joins the correspondence course.
Gopal again proposes Aarti but she refuses.
Gopal doesn't like that Aarti getting close to Raghav.
Gopal calls Aarti on her birthday to wish her. But her phone was
engaged and doubts that it was Raghav who was on the line.
Gopal's performance goes down.
Gopal again meets Aarti through mail. Aarti says that she and
Raghav is in love. Gopal bursts at her.
7. CHAPTER 11-15
Gopal accepts their relation because he doesn’t want to loose Aarti.
He returns to Varanasi after his exams
Partly due to emotional difficulties brought on by his friend’s
relationship, Gopal again fails to fare good at AIEEE.
Gopal’s father dies.
He meets MLA Shukla. Who agrees to start a engineering college in
his father’s disputed land.

Through bribery and all they will get the admission
paper to open the college.
Raghav joins as a trainee in the news paper Dainik.

Raghav writes bravely about the corruption.
Gopal plans to meet Raghav for a good publicity for
his college.

Ragahav's report publishes at the time of college opening.
Ragahav publishes a critical article regarding Gopal’s college- Ganga
Tech in which he accuses Shukla for corruption.
Aarti joins in Ramada hotel.
Aarti and Gopal become close again.
Shukla gets Ragahav sacked from his job.
Ragahav starts his own newspaper Revolution 2020.
10. CHAPTER 26-30
Raghav publishes an article with enough evidence about the
corruption which leads to MLA’s resign
Gopal and Raghav becomes rivals
Aarthi gets close to Gopal and relation starts sprouting.
Gopal tries to being too smart and is caught on his birthday with
some girls in his room.
Aarthi was the witness .She regrets having changed sides and
ditching Raghav.
11. CHAPTER 31-41
Gopal decides to change.
Gopal stops affair with Aarti.
Gopal asks Dainik to hire back Raghav.
Gopal is alone and prefers to be isolated, he is indeed rich and
successful as he wanted to be.
Ragahav who is now almost the MLA sees his dream of bringing
about change as well.
Thus ends the story of an ambitious man who deserved a girl but
got deprived due a foolish decision in a short time.
12. CONCLUSION
It is a very simple and heartfelt story about being young, being
confused, being in love, getting corrupt.
The book presents the life style of Indian students and the Education
system here in the most correct way.
All the instances narrated here are part of our daily lives and hence it
is close to reality.
It also depicts the mentality of girls and boys in the modern world and
their desperation to achieve anything they want.
