4. RESEARCH QUESTION
STORE MANAGER: AESOP
Question:
How often do marketing reps visit from record labels?
Answer:
Local Record company reps visit often to inquire how to get
their artists on the shelves and we refer them to several
distributors that service our stores because we don’t deal
directing with the labels or their marketing departments.
5. UPCOMING STORE EVENTS
There was no events scheduled or upcoming for this store.
The store manager said they stopped hosting events
because their neighbors complained about the noise from
such events and as a result of the pandemic. A couple of
local events where advertise on their information board,
below are a few pictures of the ad posters.
6. This debut album from the supergroup,
“SLAUGHTERHOUSE” was released to vinyl for the
fi
rst time
on Record Store Day.
This album that the clerk pulled for me didn’t have the RSD
sticker on it, neither did another one in the store.
7. A brochure about cats was the only SWAG
stuff available at this store.
8. A poster of a
record release of
a band advertise
on the
information
board at the store
with show date,
venue and time.
9. REFLECTION
This store wouldn’t be my
fi
rst choice for an artist event
but an artist meet and greet for signing an album can be
a suitable event for this venue.
It is located downtown of Oakland CA and will be easy to
reach and access and can draw attention to my artist.
