 Studied two sets of real data from one Lancôme store’s weekly sales items using R program, in order to find a best fitted model for each
data set
 Used a 3-degree polynomial regression model and a Gaussian random variable to manipulate missing data points
 Applied data transformation to avoid the effect of outliers and the inaccuracy of prediction models because of the fact that all data are
positive integers
 Developed several ARIMA models and a Holt-Winter model for each data set and used the validation set approach to preliminarily test the
accuracy of each prediction model
 Compared the Holt-Winter model with two appropriate ARIMA models and applied k-fold cross validation approach to find the best fitted
