 Electro-Optical Payload Command & Data Handling Subsystem integration lead, perform system
integration, cost reduction, risk management and failure/anomaly resolution across three unique
subsystems
 Developed and completed risk mitigation plan for integration of a processor and subsystem (two
versions, different subcontractors)
Senior Staff Systems Engineer, GeoEye-2 (2010-present)
 Sole Developer of IFICL (InterFace InterConnect List) which defined all point to point connections for
all SV components for design of flight harnesses
 Sole analyst for system electrical compatibility
 Space Vehicle Certified Principal Engineer, assured vehicle safety and test thoroughness by
supporting test development, execution and analysis
 Failure Review Board Lead, achieved average closure time of 30 days.
 Supported an early Critical Design Review with hardware re-use assessments, Electrical Input/Output
Summary for all space vehicle components
 Supporting launch testing and operations as sole systems engineer at launch base
Senior Staff Systems Engineer, Airborne Laser (2009-2010)
 As Failure Review Board (FRB) Lead, developed process and closed 76 FRBs.
 Maintained Vehicle Configuration audits and flight safety certificates
Senior Staff Systems Engineer, BA4 (2007-2008)
 As Electro-Optical Payload Command & Data Handling Subsystem Certified Principal Engineer,
performed technical planning, system integration, requirements definition, verification and validation,
cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
Manager Systems Engineer, AEHF Flight Engineering (2005–2007)
 Manager and Cost Account Manager (CAM) for AEHF Integrated Readiness Team. Lead a large team
of engineers at both Sunnyvale CA and Schriever AFB (CO)
 Developed Telemetry, Orbital Operations Handbook, and semi-annual Operations Working Group
with the customer.
 Lead author for bus portion of the AEHF Orbital Operations Handbook (OOH). Lead the development
of bus subsystem descriptions, functional scenarios and command procedures.
Lead Systems Engineer, Milstar Anomaly Resolution (2003–2005)
 Lead investigations of Flight and System anomalies, determining workarounds, root cause and
options for resolution. This required considerable coordination with diverse engineering groups,
subcontractors and customers. Tracked progress through closure. Assisted in same for Ground and
User anomalies.
Lead Systems Engineer, Advanced EHF Satellite Systems Engineering (2001-2003)
 Managed Satellite systems engineering staff, which ranged from 18 to 32 engineers. Functions
included Requirements Specifications, EMI/EMC/ESD and RFI analyses, Survivability (natural and
man-made space environments), Mass Properties, Flight Sciences (Vibro Acoustics, Dynamics and
Stress), System Security, Anomaly Detection and Resolution, Orbital Operations, Pointing, Software
and Database products, Electrical and Mechanical Integration.
 Defined and tracked budget and schedule.
 Coordinated Risk Management, Issue closure, Failure Review Boards, activities with Assembly,
Integration and Test, Ground Segment and Program Management.
Staff Systems Engineer, Skynet 5 Satellite Systems Engineering (2000-2001)
 Analyzed Space Segment requirements, supported development of payload & bus subsystem
requirements and ICDs, developed and coordinated inputs for Space segment analysis and design
documents, as well as conops and mission ops for a GEO satellite with EHF, X-band, Ka band and
UHF payloads.
 Developed proposal documentation including costing, SOW prep, proposal evaluation, etc.
