What to leave off a resume?
 The major factor that applicants leave off
their resumes, which can distinguish them
from other applicants, is their achievements.
 Never! Never! Never leave achievements off
your resume!
 If you have written proof of
your achievements so much
the better.

Well!
 You are usually required to give three
referees
 Always ask permission before you use
someone as a referee
 Keep them updated on the progress on
your job hunt

 This format lists skills and experience
under particular categories or headings
without specifying when or where these
are obtained. Employers and dates of
employment are not listed. Personal
information need not be included at all.
 The Functional format highlights what
you are capable of doing.

 When returning to the workforce after a

 Lack qualifications or obvious

 Wanting to emphasise the skills and

Use when:
 You have had a few jobs at a similar
level
 You want to show progression in a

 It is more work but it increases your
chances of success.
 Keep your resume to four pages.
