These positions have included the day-to-day responsibilities of repairing and
maintaining HVAC/Refrigeration system. Other responsibilities included appliance
repairs, painting, welding mechanical repairs (pneumatics, hydraulics, and lifting devices,
tool crib supervisory, purchase requisition’s, Minor Construction and pluming, DMS
computer systems, inmate pay and evaluations). Also teaching and fabricating, pluming
and electrical systems (24, 120, 240, 277, 440, and 480 volts AC & DC).

Duties: I have more than 32 years of working knowledge in the mechanical fields, these
have include the day to repairs on piping( black iron, copper, stainless, and galvanized)
such repairs as welding high pressure, low pressure, steam and hot water. And over the
years I have had to work with drainage systems and run-offs to include pumps and
hydraulic systems. As a Journeyman HVAC supervisor for the state of Colorado my day
to day requirements were as follows;
• Responsible for the HVAC upgrades and repairs on all refrigeration
systems and major appliance repairs, preventive maintenance,
painting, welding and fabrication, minor pluming and Construction,
electrical/electronic trouble shooting, (24-480Volt systems Ac and
Dc).
• Robert Shaw computer installs and controls installs and repairs,
diagnosis and trouble shooting.
• Teaching Apprenticeship in HVAC/Electrical and developing
curriculum’s these courses
• Documents offender vocational achievements, competencies and
contact hours towards completion of certification requirements; by
way of apprenticeship programs
• Teaching T-4-C program for offenders to transition (integrate) back
into free society to staff as well as offenders in a class room setting
• Contributes to the safety and security of the facility through
effective offender management and promoting conflict resolution
and solutions
• Workers pay and evaluations; Prepares reports and maintains
records, such as student grades, attendance rosters, and
training/teaching activity details (6-10)workers
• Ensures tools and equipment are in proper working condition;
