To whom it may be concerned:
I am a winter sports enthusiast from Jackson Hole, WY. I have a degree in
Tourism and Hospitality and Small Business from Black Hills State University in
South Dakota.
I moved to the Reno/Tahoe area seven years ago. I have seven years’
experience as an Operations Manager for a 50 employee landscaping company
in Truckee CA. I have three years of experience as a Manager of a casino, hotel,
restaurant, bar and retail establishment. I have been in the ski and snowboard
industry for fifteen years as an instructor, assistant ski school director, terrain
park manager, ski school snow surfaces/set up and tear down supervisor,
assistant Burton Academy supervisor, and finally the Burton Academy
supervisor.
All of my working history has given me great familiarity in customer and
employee relations, and aid in handling stressful situations. Moreover, I can
optimize customer and employee satisfaction and create enjoyable environments
and experiences.
Over the last year and a half I have had the opportunity to become
involved with a leadership development company that teaches success principles
in both personal and professional aspects of life. Through this program I have
learned and helped others with become more effective, efficient and reaching the
full potential in all areas of life. This is a mindset that I take into every situation
and know that it is a solid foundation of success.
I believe that my skills, experience and overall positive attitude would
contribute to the day-to-day success in any business venture. I pride myself on
working independently and as part of a team. I take great pride in my work and
the work of people around me.
Sincerely,
MatthewBlair
