Provide leadership, management, and direction for the University's shared information systems, to include
institution-wide strategic planning, budgeting for information technologies, and coordination and integration of all
University IT matters. Recommends IT policy at the highest level. Serves as the University's senior spokesperson on
issues related to administrative, student support, and academic information systems.

Responsible for overall management of the University’s administrative computer services department. Duties
include long range planning and acquisition of computing resources. Supervise the campus telephone system which
includes both voice and data communications. Serve as authoritative resource to the campus on computing related

Resources.

Data Processing Department Database application programming using COBOL. Responsible for all hardware
installations on campus. Trained for micro computer repair and installation. Extensive experience on a Unisys A6
mainframe computer and IBM compatible PC’s. Programming experience in PASCAL, C, FORTRAN and BASIC.
Development of micro to mainframe applications. Responsible for the communications end of the A6 mainframe.
Responsible for development of telecommunication links between phone system and computers campus wide.
Training and experience on a NEC NEAX 2400 PBX phone switch.
