I'm applying for the Mechanical/HVAC Designer position. I graduated from the
University of Massachusetts ~ Lowell in May of 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Civil
& Environmental Engineering. I am very interested in the position and believe with my
education and experience I would contribute to the success of your company.
While working toward my Bachelor's degree, I was employed as a field inspector for a
small consulting firm, RAND Associates. From this, I gained practical experience and
became proficient in using AutoCAD.
After graduation, I was offered a full time position as an entry level structural engineer
with DQ Engineering, formerly RAND Associates. I gladly accepted the opportunity to be
taught structural design by a professional engineer and apply my education to the "real
world".
In October of 2010, I started working for P & J Mechanical Services, Incorporated, a
HVAC company which primarily installs residential and commercial heating and air
conditioning systems. I was impressed by the knowledge and abilities of the employees
and became very interested in the design of ductwork along with the mechanical and
electrical components of the equipment. Presently, I am working for P & J Mechanical
Services but I want to expand my knowledge in HVAC design.
