Allison engages with clients & the community by managing the company website,
social media, writing blog posts & press releases, & by maintaining effective communication
procedures. Allison is the chair of the events committee, which organizes monthly
“anni-birth-ary”events, as well as holiday events, a summer picnic, & coordination of
C-Forward’s participation in the Adopt-A-Class & BEST Partners programs.
Allison facilitated current & prospective student engagement by managing social media
& writing blog posts for the transfer center. She also promoted the university through
guiding potential students on campus tours, & by reaching out to current & alumni
transfer students to aid in content generation.
Allison volunteered in various leadership postions & through her involvement contributed
to the engagement of the campus community. She organized a week long pancake breakfast
each finals week, created skits/videos & planned themed events for the TNL
(Tuesday Night Live) program, lead weekly bible study, & attended multiple spring/fall break
mission trips.

In pursuit of her degree, Allison completed courses in leadership, public relations, event
planning, multimedia communication, and general communication. She has applied the skills
learned in the classroom through planning multiple full scale events (both for class credit &
for extracirricular activities) & by creating a complete public relations campaign for a real client.
Allison studied English literature, both American & British, to gain an understanding of various
perspectives and to become a stronger writer. She believes that reading is a key factor in
effective communication, and enables the exploration of new ideas, which contribute to
personal and career growth.
