This document summarizes the results of an audit of the Continuing Training Unit of the Puerto Real University Hospital in Spain from 2004-2008. Over this period, the Unit provided over 4,300 accredited training opportunities to over 1,600 medical, nursing, and non-medical staff. The audit assessed the Unit's compliance with quality standards across five blocks: needs assessment, course management, teaching professionals, organizational aspects, and results. Overall compliance was rated at 77.78%, with the Unit meeting strengths in needs assessment, course management, and organizational aspects. Areas for improvement included developing procedures for teacher selection and assessment, implementing a virtual learning platform, and expanding results assessment.
