2. Source cards You will be given three sources cards. Facts should be: Specific To the point (clear, not too wordy) Interesting Not opinions!! 5-10 specific facts from each source NO wikipedia, wikianswers, personal blogs, etc.
3. Writing a Thesis. You are going to think up a valid opinion about your person that will become the thesis or main idea of your paper. You should have many, many facts, examples, and details that support your thesis. Your thesis should be a complete sentence, but it does not need to be very specific. Examples: Abraham Lincoln was a man of great character. Bravery and courage characterized Amelia Earhart’s life. The world was forever changed because of Mother Theresa.
4. Completing your brain map… You want to look over the research you found and decide on three main ideas that fit your thesis. (Yes, you may have to do a little more research to finish your paper!) Use any facts from your source cards AND any valid opinions you’ve formed to fill out the boxes in the brain map. Write down the source # beside each fact!! Your brain map does not need to be written in complete sentences. All of this information will be posted on the blog!
