Abstract
In this research paper, we examine the potential benefits of using fingerprint
authentication for ATMs. We also discuss the challenges that need to be addressed in
order to implement fingerprint authentication in ATMs, such as the cost of fingerprint
scanners and the need for user enrollment. We conclude that fingerprint authentication
has the potential to significantly improve the security of ATMs. However, more
research is needed to address the challenges that need to be overcome in order to
implement fingerprint authentication in ATMs.

Findings
Fingerprint authentication technology is a reliable and accurate method of biometric authentication
that can be effectively used in ATM machines to enhance security and improve the user experience.
The performance of the fingerprint recognition system, including its accuracy and speed, is crucial to
the success of the system. Factors such as the quality of the fingerprint and the cleanliness of the
fingerprint reader can affect the accuracy of the system.
User acceptance and usability of the fingerprint authentication system are important considerations
that can affect the success of the system. It is important to provide clear instructions and training to
users to ensure that they understand how to use the system properly.
The security of the fingerprint authentication system is also an important consideration. It is important
to implement appropriate security measures to protect the biometric data collected by the system
and to prevent hacking or other types of attacks.
Future research and development in the area of biometric authentication systems can lead to
improvements in the accuracy, speed, and usability of these systems, as well as the development of
new types of biometric authentication technology.

Conclusion
In the conclusion we find out that, the ATM prototype works well with fingerprint
identification. Because password protection cannot be circumvented in our system, the
subsequent fingerprint recognition, produced quick reaction and is discovered to be user-
friendly. Fingerprint Since templates cannot be used to recreate graphics; nobody can utilize the
system wrongly. Low-cost low-cost LPC2148 and FIM3030 platform for consuming power.
Execution time can be increased through the deployment of more advanced microcontroller.
You can use the same hardware platform. the IRIS scanner, another viable biometric is
presented. protection for the ATMs.
