Robert Adler invented the first wireless remote control device called "Lazy Bones" in 1950 while working for Zenith Electronics Corporation. He was born in Vienna, Austria in 1913 and received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Vienna in 1937. During World War II, he worked on developing military communications equipment.
