Farkhunda Malik Zada and Mashal Khan were both killed due to accusations of blasphemy in Afghanistan and Pakistan respectively. Farkhunda was beaten and burned to death by a mob in Kabul after being falsely accused of burning the Quran by the caretaker of a shrine, while Mashal was beaten to death by fellow university students in Mardan, Pakistan after being accused of posting blasphemous material online.
